Makeup has long been a major element of fashion week, but now skincare is getting more involved. Synergie Skin teams up with new ethical denim line Aizomé1.
Synergie Skin has colaborated with Japanese denim brand, Aizomé1 at Paris Fashion Week this month. The show, which took place on the chic Rue De Richelieu, launched the brand’s first ready-to-wear Envirodenim collection, a line which marries classic European tailoring with fine Japanese denim.
The join-up is a match made in ethical heaven, really. Aizomé1’s approach is organic, ethically-sourced denim, which is free from harsh chemical dyes, while Australian made and owned Synergie Skin is all ethical, certified cruelty-free “clean science”.
Aussie makeup artist Chantelle Baker used Synergie Skin (think Vitamin B Serum, HyDrolock, Synergie Minerals Luminiser, HydroSpritz vitamin-infused setting spray and Lip Service) on all the models to give their skin natural-looking luminosity.
“It was a privilege to be invited backstage at the Aizomé1 launch,” says founder and formulator of Synergie Skin, Terri Vinson. “Seeing the makeup artists use my products on the models has been a dream come true. Aizomé1 and Synergie Skin share the same ethical values and ideas, and I couldn’t be happier in supporting such an innovative denim brand.”
Have your say: Do you think there is a place for skincare brands at fashion week?
