Spray tanning company, Fantasy Tan Australia, recently announced a new partnership with The Australian Skin Care Company, creators of the Pelactiv skincare range. While both Sydney-based companies will continue to trade as separate entities, shareholders of both companies have collaborated to form a new company, Salon HQ.
“At Salon HQ our aim is to provide a one-stop store for discerning salons,” said Wendy Loupos, founder of Fantasy Tan Australia. “This collaboration allows us to pool our resources and offer an array of products and services.
“Now with just one phone call, salons can get advice on a variety of services to boost salon turnover; from tried and tested spray tanning formulations and teeth whitening systems to beauty accessories, salon and spa essentials and revolutionary new products including the next generation in hair removal products – an organic, eco-friendly alternative to waxing.”
Pelactiv’s Kerry-Anne Raiola joins Wendy as a director of Salon HQ, however the pair will also be actively involved in the research and development of new brands.
Both women believe the merger presents exciting new opportunities to expand Fantasy Tan’s popular SOL spray tanning range (currently stocked in over 1000 salons Australia-wide), as well as create unique new salon products and services.
Kerry-Anne said that the combined client base of both companies presents exciting opportunities to increase their foothold in the Australian market and aggressively pursue market share both locally and internationally. “We expect turnover to double in the next fiscal year,” she said.
Loupos and Raiola said they share a mutual admiration of the other’s products, as well as strong personal and professional philosophies; adding that they believe their collaboration will allow them to continue to bring affordable, world-class products to the market.
