In response to a recent report about spray tanning on a prime-time current affair programme, Oztan have responded.
The programme warned consumers about harmful ingredients hidden in some spray tan formulas and said that many fake tan products’ marketing is misleading with some consumers thinking it contains SPF.
Oztan would like to say that “Oztan Cosmetics does not contain any of the nasty chemicals mentioned, including Synthetic DHA, parabens, Propylene Glycol, Erythulose or EDTA.”
“Oztan’s DHA is Ecocert Organic not the synthetic version. Also, as noted on our labels, fake tan does not contain any sun protection. Spray tanning allows us to avoid the sun and UV damage while still being able to flaunt a natural looking tan.
“With Oztan you will achieve the most natural looking olive tan and be safe from nasty chemicals and UV damage. So don’t let your Oztan clients be mislead by media hype and feel confident in the products you are using.”
Oztan is just one of many self-tanning brands which doesn't use the harmful ingredients mentioned on the programme. Oztan wished to take the opportunity to stress how important it is that spray tanners educate their clients about what is in the formulas and remind them to use SPF.
