M.A.C Senior Artist, Nicole Thompson shares four must-keep makeup tips for divine luminosity…
#1 “Magical” Sprays: To keep skin looking luminous, M.A.C Senior Artist Nicole Thompson enlists sprays. “I’m not using a lot of moisturisers at the moment,” she says. “I use a lot of [sprays] because they quickly absorb and keep skin from looking over-glossed or over-done – it just looks way cooler. I have a spray bottle and I mix all the products [M.A.C Softening lotion, Fix Plus and Prep + Prime Oil] to make this perfect magical spray.”
#2 Massage: Any skincare expert will tell you about the power of massage, so why not give skin a little rub pre makeup application? After spraying on her magical spray, Thompson massages the skin to make it glow. “I spray it on and rub it in – all that massage makes the skin looks amazing,” she says.
#3 An eraser brush: Sure, you have a brush for every conceivable use, but it’s good to have one that’s good for nothing. “I have a brush with nothing on it,” says Thompson. “Every makeup artist thinks about what their brush is for; their eyeshadow, their brows… but it is always good to have an eraser brush too. So if you have gone too far with a smoky, it is really good to have an eraser brush – ma flush eyeshadow brush with a bit of concealer to soften edges.
#4 Multi-task powder: Think powder is just for blotting out shine? Think again; it’s amazing for blurring away blemishes. “Power is the best concealer because it has this great smoothing effect,”says Thompson. “ I use a small brush with M.A.C Mineralize Skinfinish in Natural to conceal; because it is powder, it flattens and pushes the pimple back into the face.
