Athlegen has welcomed back a former staff member, with the appointment of Mark Wilford as Queensland Agency Manager in a move to increase the company’s presence in the Queensland market.
Mr Wilford (pictured) was an integral member of the Athlegen team in the 1990s, joining as the sole sales representative in Western Australia and later managing the national sales team as the company established itself as a market-leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of massage and treatment equipment.
In his new role, he will be responsible for enhancing the profile and sales growth of Athlegen’s portable massage tables, power lift tables and seated massage chairs in Queensland and northern New South Wales.
“I have a long and happy association with Athlegen and, after a period working in various other roles in retail sales, business development and logistics, I’m excited to be back with the company and working again in what is an innovative and dynamic industry,” said Mr Wilford.
Mr Wilford’s return follows the homecoming of Athlegen founders Jeff Toering and Rick Schmidt, who recently returned to Athlegen after a few years experimenting in different sectors.
Mr Toering, Athlegen’s New Business and Product Development Manager, said Mr Wilford would be a valuable asset in ensuring Athlegen maintained its status as a market leader.
“Athlegen has a premium product line, exciting prospects and challenging goals for the future and the appointment of Mark, who knows both the products and the industry inside out, as Queensland Agency Manager, will help ensure we achieve these goals and more,” he said.
