On February 8, Babor held its Fifth Annual Babor Business Breakfast at Le Montage in Sydney’s Lilyfield.
The event was hosted by television presenter, Jaynie Seal, and included guest speaker Jo Ferguson, Fashion Director for Woman’s Day and NW. Ferguson gave guests a rundown on this year’s hottest trends and her experiences with dressing stars like singer, Taylor Swift.
Managing Director, Donna Waite (pictured, left, with Jaynie Seal), took clients through the new marketing and promotions plan for 2010, current and upcoming PR and editorial, followed by the educational plan for 2010, which was presented by Head Trainer Anouk Thebault.
Winners for the best salons and spas throughout Australia were also announced at the event, with Zensara Natural Therapies in Neutral Bay winning ‘Salon of the Year’. The owner, Sarah Smith, and her spa manager, Wafa Kharoufel, attended to collect their award.
As part of the prize, both Sarah and Wafa have the opportunity to travel to the Babor headquarters in Aachen, Germany, for an intensive training trip, where they will learn new techniques and treatments not yet performed in Australia. They will take the trip in July 2010, with the group of winners.
The day ended with the announcement of the other lucky winners for the trip to Germany. The salon owners will experience five days of intensive training, along with some sight-seeing.
Waite said: “I wish everyone could attend, but unfortunately spaces are strictly limited.”
