Lendan lends a hand

Lendan is continuing its support of various charities.

The company pledged to donate $20,000 to Make-A-Wish Australia this year, and reports that the associated ‘Wishes for Kids Awards’ has so far been a great success with participating salons, spas and consumers. Based around the sale of Lendan hair and skincare retail products and donations made through in-salon collection tins, an additional $1,000 has been raised.

Lendan Marketing Manager, Nick Panagiotou, said: “Lendan set out to create an awards system that would help Lendan salon and day spa owners offer their own clients a point-of-difference. This has seen an increase in referrals and attracting new clients as the promotional tools have worked through direct marketing within a specific local area.”

Lendan is also contributing a Hair & Skin Care Hamper Make-A-Wish’s Silent Auction for the ‘Silver Wish Ball’ in June.

The company provided a product hamper for the Melbourne City Romp, supporting the Burnet Institute’s Romp for a Cure initiative to find a cure for HIV, TB and malaria. The event is part treasure hunt, part ‘Amazing Race’, part puzzle. More than 12,000 ‘Rompers’ from around Australia participated, helping raise $116,233.

Lendan also took part in the Burnett Institute’s ‘Pretty in Pink’ Fashion Parade Luncheon in May, helping raise funds for breast cancer research. Lendan again provided a product hamper as for the Silent Auction and over 150 show bags containing product samples and 50% discount voucher for treatments from Lendan concept salon Esprit Hair & Day Spa.
