Diary: Advanced Skin Technology Showcases Microneedling Tech at Skin Expo

Advanced Skin Technology (AST) hosted select healthcare professionals for two special evenings of education and networking this month.

Cocktail parties were hosted at QT Hotel in Sydney and the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne. At each location, guests were treated to roaming appetisers and beverages while experiencing activations such as live demonstrations of AST’s impressive microneedling device, SkinPen.

The Australian distribution company, which plays home to an array of cosmeceutical and device products designed for professional use, invited Dr Joseph Hkeik, Professor Greg Goodman and Dr Ceylan Yilmez to act as the events’ Keynote Speakers.

Guests also enjoyed a sit down presentation by the AST team discussing the science behind microneedling, key industry trends and clinic growth opportunities.

SkinPen is a Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) device suitable for use on the face, neck and hands. The treatment works in three stages – the application of a topical anesthetic to assure client comfort, wireless treatment to create thousands of controlled microchannels in the skin, and application of the LIFT hydrogel for friction reduction. The SkinPen is best used on clients looking to treat acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as pigmentation.
