The KAILO Summit 2025 has been booked for May as organisers promise a four-day extravaganza of expert health panels, trend exploration and the sharing of global beauty and wellness research.
Staged from May 1 — 5 2025 across two locations in Brisbane, the event will offer a program led by high profile professionals including staff from Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand goop, a former YSL beauty director, Canadian-based stem cell pioneer Dr. Adeel Khan, M.D. and international leaders in holistic health.
It will be the second KAILO Summit, a supercharged follow-up to the inaugural October 2022 summit which took place in Brisbane and attracted just over 220 attendees.
Kath Merlo, KAILO co-founder, told Professional Beauty that the summit is designed to inspire Australia’s ever-ambitious talent pool of beauty and health professionals. “The KAILO Summit 2025 is a great way to educate and inspire your team on the latest in health and wellbeing trends,” Kath said. “There are enormous opportunities for our sector to diversify and embrace new wellness trends and innovations.”
Kristy Morris, fellow KAILO co-founder, added that the event will serve as a valuable networking tool. “There’s going to be many influential names in beauty attending, as well as some of Australia’s top beauty editors,” Kristy confirmed.
The pair share an intrinsic understanding of the value of large-scale knowledge sharing events, having launched KAILO Wellness Medispa at Brisbane’s Calile Hotel together in October 2018. “This is a key opportunity for the beauty and wellness industry to connect with inspiring voices, talent and thought leaders,” Kath said.

1. The Live Boldly Brunch
When: May 2, 2025, from 10:00am until 1:00pm

Featuring a menu curated by goop, product gifting and speakers including a long-standing YSL beauty director and New York-based beauty executive Maggie Ciafardini.
2. Expert talk from Dr. Adeel Khan, M.D.
When: May 1, 2025, from 10:00am until 1:00pm
Where: The Star Event Centre, 33 William Street, Brisbane
A discussion on Dr. Khan’s medicine journey, delving into his innovative therapies including stem cell treatments and anti-ageing procedures.
3. Expert talk from Krystal Woods
When: May 1, 2025, from 2:10pm until 3:40pm
Where: The Star Event Centre, 33 William Street, Brisbane
A discussion with Woods, a human design advisor renowned for helping people clarify their business intentions and craft successful professional ventures.
4. Rest and Reset Retreat
When: 2:00pm on May 2, 2025 until 1:00pm on May 4, 2025
