On Saturday September 14, The Ageless Radiance Club transformed Sydney’s Intercontinental Hotel in Double Bay into a dynamic hub of beauty, wellness, and vitality.
Hosting a sold-out crowd of 170 women aged 45 and over, the event highlighted the power and influence of a demographic that makes up 41 percent of Australia’s female population and holds substantial spending power in the beauty and wellness sector.
Conversations for women 45+
The event featured 16 experts who offered insights into the evolving landscape of beauty, wellness, and ageing. Centered around four key pillars – The Beauty Blueprint, The Style Blueprint, The Wellness and Longevity Blueprint, and The Spiritual Blueprint – each session focused on understanding this demographic and the trends shaping their preferences; insights invaluable for beauty professionals catering to this market.
Under The Beauty Blueprint, Dr Joseph Hkeik, Founder of All Saint Clinic, opened the day with a discussion on the latest aesthetic technologies and in-clinic treatments, achieving outstanding skin rejuvenation results. He highlighted that consultations are the cornerstone of exceptional outcomes, especially when addressing ageing concerns. With every client presenting unique needs and challenges, tailored solutions are essential to delivering the best possible results for those over 45.
As the event shifted to The Wellness & Longevity Blueprint, Dr Shauna Watts captivated the audience with her session on ‘Sex, Drugs, and Hormone Health’. An esteemed medical professional with a skin clinic specialising in menopausal skin support, Shauna shared how hormonal changes impact skin health and overall wellbeing. Her insights highlight the need for beauty professionals to understand how hormones affect skin conditions, enabling more informed treatment pathways that address women’s needs through all stages of life.
Formulator for Rejuv Wellness and Welleco, Simone Laubscher, PhD, expanded on the wellness theme with her Seven Pillars of Wellness session, which linked mind, body, and spirit as fundamental to long-term vitality. She shared how these pillars serve as a roadmap for creating personalised wellness protocols that address the whole person. This holistic approach is becoming increasingly relevant in the beauty industry, as more clients seek services that support inner and outer wellbeing, recognising that true radiance stems from a holistic approach.
What this means for beauty pros
The Ageless Radiance Club event highlighted the significant opportunity for beauty professionals to engage with a powerful yet often overlooked demographic. As Bahar Etminan, Founder of the Ageless by Rescu podcast and publisher of BEAgeless.com.au, noted, “We are a demographic of intelligent, wealthy, and motivated consumers who deserve to be marketed to with respect and integrity.”
This serves as a reminder for beauty professionals to connect more thoughtfully with this high-value audience and that clients seek more than just standard treatments; they want a holistic approach that speaks to every aspect of their lives.
With the Ageless Radiance Club planning events in Melbourne and Sydney in 2025 and a Masterclass Series launching in November 2024, beauty professionals have multiple opportunities to stay informed about the latest trends and insights impacting their 45+ clientele.
