The winners of the 2024 Australian Beauty & Cosmetic Tattoo Awards (ABACTA) were announced online over the weekend.
The awards recognise exceptional industry talent across the categories of beauty, cosmetic tattoo, business & growth, and SMP & medical tattoo.
Operators of the event, June Warry and Nicole Prance opted to shift the award ceremony to a live digital model in light of the current economic environment. The event was streamed via the ABACTA Instagram and Youtube accounts.
“The ABACTA team were flooded with Instagram stories that were tagged and shared through our social media channels,” June told Professional Beauty. “There were several artists in New Zealand, Melbourne and Brisbane that also took it upon themselves to host their own get together parties (without the financial pressure to fly interstate or overseas for our every growing New Zealand artists).”
“It is wonderful for our cosmetic tattooist, skin therapist and lash and brow artists to have the recognition they deserve. What a great boost for them and their businesses!”
