Late last year, news spread of the closure of Clairderm – a QLD-based cosmeceutical and aesthetic technology supplier that had been in operation for several years.
In a Facebook post, former Clairderm staffer Sara* flagged the closure as a result of “the impact of rising manufacturing costs and inflation.” Despite frequent attempts to make contact with the former operators of Clairderm by Professional Beauty and partnering salons, no further details on what exactly happened to the business have been made publicly available.
In April 2025, Professional Beauty received email correspondence from Medi Spa Solutions, marking their support in light of Clairderm’s departure from the industry. Medi Spa Solutions is an Australian aesthetic and medical-grade technology distributor supplying doctors, skin clinics, dermatologists, cosmetic physicians, and beauty professionals with advanced equipment, ongoing training, local servicing, and comprehensive support. Marco Nuttall, Director of Medi Spa Solutions, shares that while the company was not involved in Clairderm’s day-to-day operations, his team’s understanding is that Clairderm entered liquidation early this year.
“It’s very sad considering [Clairderm] were around for almost 30 years,” Marco tells Professional Beauty. “Most of the team has since moved on, and communication channels and systems have been deactivated. This has led to widespread confusion and difficulty for clinic partners. We recognised the disruption this caused and acted quickly to help as many affected businesses as possible.”
Marco reveals Medi Spa Solutions purchased the majority of Clairderm’s company assets during the liquidation process with the specific intention of supporting their existing client base. “This move came after multiple clinic owners contacted us for help. While we were not previously affiliated with Clairderm, we stepped in to ensure continuity for customers who had otherwise been left unsupported.”
Medi Spa Solutions are currently offering access to spare parts and consumables for supported Clairderm equipment, repairs and servicing through the company’s in-house technician, in addition to product training where needed, and help recovering records and understanding prior service history. Medi Spa Solutions is also on hand to provide general technical and customer support.
“We’ve been in contact with all key suppliers to ensure we can support the full range of Clairderm machinery for the long term. Our goal is to provide a reliable path forward for clinics that were previously working with Clairderm, ensuring they’re not left without access to essential equipment or assistance. We have already supported many clients from Clairderm successfully and continue to welcome those needing guidance and service.”
Former Clairderm Administrative Assistant, Maxine Ridgway has also taken on a role with Medi Spa Solutions in a part-time support and liaison capacity. “She brings deep product knowledge, familiarity with internal systems, and longstanding relationships with clinics. Her presence has been invaluable as we navigate this transition and support former Clairderm clients.”
