Organisers of The Makeup Show LA have engaged award-winning makeup artists Ve Neill, Eve Pearl and Joanna Schlip to present at the show in February, 2010.
Ve Neill will present Master Workshop – Developing the Character. Eve Pearl will present: Market Yourself, Get The Job And Make Money In Front Of The Camera and Master Workshop Developing & Presenting Makeup for Television. Joanna Schlip will host A Career in Makeup Presented by M.A.C.
Ve Neill is a renowned makeup artist working predominately in the motion picture business. During her 30-year career, Neill has won five Academy Awards, two Emmy Awards, two Saturn Awards, a BAFTA Award, Local 706 Best Character Makeup Award and was the first artist to be awarded Hollywood Foreign Press “Makeup Artist of the Year” Award. She was awarded the BAFTA for Pirates of the Caribbean and Oscar nominations for her work on iconic films including Mrs. Doubtfire, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Eve Pearl is a three-time Emmy Award-winning celebrity makeup artist with over 15 years experience in television, film, theatre and print. The key makeup artist and frequent on-air guest for US television’s Today Show and The View, she also contributes to InStyle, Vanity Fair and Ladies Home Journal, among others. Eve’s book, Plastic Surgery without the Surgery, the Miracle of Makeup Techniques, was released in January 2004 and her product line Eve Pearl Beauty launched in 2006.
Joanna Schlip has worked with some of the world’s most celebrated personalities including Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Simpson, Kim Cattrall and Hilary Duff. She works with the American and international editions of Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, W, Bazaar and Marie Claire, among others. Her range of work includes commercials, print campaigns, fashion shows, red carpet events, TV appearances, celebrity beauty and editorial work. Joanna has recently released her first makeup book, Glamour Gurlz (Random House).
2010 marks The Makeup Show’s five-year anniversary and after a successful debut in Los Angeles in 2009, the show meets again for its annual West Coast show. The Makeup Show boasts unique educational programs such as keynote presentations, hands-on workshops, seminars and business forums that examine beauty techniques and applications, skin tone and health, makeup products, tools of the trade, and the business of the beauty industry.
The show brings together top pro-focused brands and businesses including Make Up For Ever, Inglot, Temptu Pro, Alcone, Crown Brush and Smashbox.
