On 2nd February, 2009, skincare company, Babor, held its fourth annual Babor Business Breakfast, at Le Montage in Sydney’s Lilyfield. The event was hosted by media personality Bianca Dye and included guest speaker Darline Bogeart, Babor’s International Trainer from Germany. Bogeart led the 70 attending Babor stockists through the company’s new range, BABORganics, which is launched this month, February.
Babor’s Managing Director, Donna Waite, previewed the company’s new marketing and promotions plan for 2009, including current and upcoming PR and editorial. Babor’s Head Trainer, Anouk Thebault, then profiled the company’s educational plan for 2009.
Waite said that the breakfast event, “is a great way to get all of the Babor stockists together in one location to show them what is coming in the year ahead: new products, special promotional offers, advertising and marketing ideas, for example. A major part of the breakfast is also to announce the winners of the Babor Recognition Promotion. The winners all win a spot on the five-day intensive training trip to the Babor headquarters in Germany. This year, there were 20 winners who will make the trip in May 2009. Categories include: Best New Spa, Best Retailer, Spa of the Year,” she said.
According to Waite, this year’s breakfast event was a success. “Each year we try to find a new location which is convenient for everyone. We chose Le Montage in Lilyfield, which has gorgeous waters views of Iron Cove Bay. We were also lucky to have Darlene Bogeart who launched BABORganics, which is all about ‘green glamour’. All ingredients used in the range are eco-certified. We believe this range will go well in Australia and [it] has already been snapped up by many of the stockists who were at the breakfast…. So that’s a great start!”
