Messe Frankfurt, organisers of Beautyworld India, has cited the promising market results of a recent Neilson Global Consumer confidence survey, to launch this year’s trade show.
The survey found that “Confidence [in some markets] has increased and has been the most promising in India, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Brazil, resulting in a rapid change of consumer spending patterns. With a growth rate of 8.5%, India will continue to be the second fastest growing economy in the world, thanks to the strength of domestic demand and the domestic nature of its investment financing.”
The Indian cosmetic and beauty industry has witnessed a rapid growth in the last couple of years, growing at a rate of around 15 to 20%.
In its third year, Beautyworld India 2010 will showcase cosmetics, skincare, hair care, beauty and hygiene products and accessories, professional care for salons, spa and wellness, fitness equipment, dental care, manicure and pedicure, to packaging, raw materials, interior design and furniture for beauty parlours, fashion accessories as well as training centres and publishers. The fair will also host power-packed workshops running parallel to the event and covering the latest industry developments and trends.
The first ever Nail Championship in India, launched by Messe Frankfurt India during Beautyworld India 2009 was an overwhelming success and this year, once again, the Nail Championship will be the apex of competence and quality.
At the 2009 event, exhibitors from 13 countries formed a valuable basis for a professional show, while the 16 workshops, conducted by industry leaders, formed the core of the fair and attracted the attention of the media and visitors alike.
Beautyworld India 2010 will give attendees an opportunity to explore, share ideas and witness innovations. It will set trends for attractive business in the subcontinent and provide a backdrop for business in the world’s second largest consumer market.
