BLC Cosmetics has announced their appointment as exclusive distributor of HydroPeptide, a long-time favourite of beauty clinicians and consumers alike.
Established in 2004 in Washington, USA, and available in Australia since 2012, the cosmeceutical professional and retail skincare brand is used and sold in approximately 100 salons and spas across the country.
Founded on the principles of epigenetics, the HydroPeptide products are formulated by a team of geneticists using peptides which are gene-signalling ingredients that can influence genetic expression in the skin. Peptides send signals to genes to influence the way cells behave by “switching on” and “switching off” genes. The result is that the cells act in a healthy way to deliver anti-ageing benefits. Cut favourites include the Power Lift and Power Serum, as well as the Firma Bright vitamin C booster.
Of the appointment, BLC Cosmetics CEO Nikki Somerset said, “BLC Cosmetics is delighted to represent HydroPeptide alongside our market-leading portfolio of prestige professional brands. The brand is non-competing within the current portfolio and provides BLC Cosmetics with the opportunity to leverage our investment in technology, sales and marketing infrastructure which has been built during the recent transformation of the business. The goal is to enable a smooth transition for existing HydroPeptide customers while maintaining the current growth with our existing customers and brand portfolio.” The appointment is effective from February.
BLC Cosmetics was established in 1974 and is owned by HGL Limited. It is a multi-brand importer and distributor of high-quality skincare products and cosmetic devices to beauty salons, spas, wellness centres and skincare clinics in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
