One of the fashion industry’s biggest Sydney events, Fashion Palette, staged at the Art Gallery of NSW last month, saw salon makeup brand Bodyography showcase their products to stunning effect on the catwalk.
At last month’s Fashion Palette event, industry guests, fashion identities and consumers were seated by the runway as 13 designers showcased up and coming trends for Australian fashion.
Guests such as Kate Waterhouse, Imogen Anthony and The Bachelor’s Sam Frost sat front row with designers including Nicola Finetti and Arthur Galan along with fashion blogger moguls Antoinette Marie (Sydney Fashion Blogger), They All Hate Us and Sarah Ellen watching with a keen eye as next seasons designs were revealed.
The looks were sophisticated and sharp, marrying fun, bold prints with neutrals. Nicola Finetti, the king of chic opened the show with tailored pieces showcasing bold pops of colour in a mostly cool colour palette.
The Art of Fashion theme ran strong throughout the runway show and cocktail function with the models looking like live works of art with face paint, paint brushes and palettes in tow.
Models paraded 182 looks from a talented line-up of Australian designers, styled by teams from Sachajuan and salon makeup brand, Bodyography with nails by Essie and lashes by Ardell.
Backstage, the Bodyography artistic team consisting of 9 makeup artists from Bodyography salons across the country was headed up by seasonal Bodyography artist Melany Jones who executed fresh, dewy looks on models, punctuated by bursts of colour to highlight the creativity of the fashion designs.
Renowned for their cruelty free stance and vibrant collection of lipsticks, Bodyography has partaken in many high fashion events over the years and is a regular partner of Fashion Aid.
