With one-size-fits-all bridal makeup a thing of the past thanks to instantly accessible international trends via the web, savvy salon owners and makeup artists alike are finding regular up-skilling a necessity to keep up with increasingly varied client demands and cash in on this lucrative market.
Bodyography’s upcoming bridal makeup course ($150), to run October 6 from 11am-4pm, plans to help makeup artists achieve just that. Venturing beyond the standard wedding day beauty template to teach makeup artists how to capture the variety of trends dominating the bridal scene today, including vintage and modern looks, as well as adapting trends to cater to clients’ cultural backgrounds, the one-day course will also include fundamental makeup styling techniques such as colour coordination and face and eye makeup application.
The Bodyography bridal makeup course is aimed at makeup artists with existing experience, including an understanding of the fundamentals of makeup, and is expected to book out quickly, so artists are encouraged to register fast.
