Dermalogica FITE is a forward-thinking world-wide program by the skincare brand, which provides women entrepreneurs access to small loans to help kickstart a business venture. Believing that the economic empowerment of women is one of the greatest drivers of sustainable change in the developing world, Dermalogica, a predominantly female company here in Australia, is behind this program in a big way. Continuing with this commitment to supporting female entrepreneurs, Dermalogica Australia has become the first Corporate Partner of The Sydney Women’s Fund. The skincare brand has committed to supporting the work of the fund (part of the Sydney Community Foundation) for the next three years. This comes in addition to the mentoring program Dermalogica FITE currently hosts with Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections in Sydney.

The exciting new partnership was announced by Jane Jose, CEO Sydney Community Foundation at an official Sydney Community Foundation Year In Review 2015 evening held at the Lady Mayoress Room, Sydney Town Hall last week.

Proving that the beauty industry has the ability to change lives, the Dermalogica FITE mentoring program has recently invested in the education and mentorship of two inspiring women. Providing the necessary financial funding for these women to successfully graduate with a Diploma of Beauty Therapy before going on to run their own small beauty businesses within the Liverpool community.

The skincare brand has also helped refurbish treatment room facility, The Violet Room, which is used for training to further support Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections.

This new partnership with the Sydney Women’s Fund will see Dermalogica Australia continue to grow its mentoring program and champion future female entrepreneurs.
