Worldwide Olympic partner Procter & Gamble congratulates Emily Seebohm, Pantene ambassador, and her team mates for winning a silver medal in the 100m medley relay on the eighth day of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The Pantene ambassador, who has now won three medals, is a member of the Australian swim team. She first helped secure gold in the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay by placing first in heat two on 28th July, before taking silver in the women’s 100m backstroke on 30th July, for which she set an Olympic record of 58.23 seconds in the final heat on 29th July 2012.
On 4th August 2012, Seebohm stopped the clock at 59.01 seconds in her leg of the medley relay, with the team completing the race in 3 minutes 55.73 seconds.
As the Proud Sponsor of Mums, P&G also extended congratulations to Karen Seebohm. P&G recognises no athlete makes it to the Olympic Games alone as athletes’ mums are nearly always a key part of their Olympic journeys.
P&G is holding a Thank You Mum promotion where proceeds will go to supporting youth sports programs in many countries
As P&G is in the business of helping mums, it is using its voice at the Olympic Games to say, ‘thank you’ to mums for all they do to help their children achieve their dreams. The ‘Thank You Mum’ campaign is the largest scale initiative in the company’s 175 year history.
“I’m so proud of what we achieved as a team for Australia. Everyone swam their best and pushed themselves to the limit. It was a tough race but we managed to pull through and take the silver medal for our country,” Maile Carnegie for P&G says.
