Words no tanning professional ever wants to hear come out of a client’s mouth. But being good at your job and using a high-quality product isn’t enough to prevent that from happening. That’s because, as all experienced tanning professionals know, what your client does after they leave the salon is just as important as what you do in the salon.

“Post tan care can make or break a great in-salon spray tan,” says Bonza Bronz national training educator, Silvia Augello.
“Advising our clients on correct post tan care will ensure the longevity of their professionally applied spray tan whilst ensuring a reason for them to return to the salon,” explains Augello.

5. The right products: Recommend a tan-specific body wash and gradual tanning cream for at-home tan maintenance.
“As tanning professionals, it’s so important to acknowledge that in salon tanning application is only 50% of the total tanning service we can offer our clients. Providing the right at home maintenance system, information and products is vital to ensure your clients maintain a natural looking tan at home that fades evenly,” emphasises Augello.
