Australian professional cosmetics brand Issada has announced an imminent move to larger premises more than one year ahead of their previous expansion plans. Owner and Director Deb Farnworth-Wood confirms the move – originally slated for 2023 – will happen as soon as possible due to unprecedented customer demand. Customers have been clamouring for the brand since Farnworth-Wood acquired it, refreshed the branding and expanding the range in late 2020 to include cosmeceutical skincare alongside mineral colour cosmetics.
With plans for expansion, Issada will both continue to service the local aesthetic clinic and salon market in Australia as well as extend its international presence. Deb explained “In my first year of ownership the focus was on putting into place effective processes and systems that provide for business sustainability and growth. The new facility is the next piece of the jigsaw and with that largely done we have a robust structure to go forward with. I am fortunate to have an experienced and passionate team, who share my vision. Several team members have been with me for many years and were part of the ASC success”.
“Issada has exceeded our expectations during the last six months to the extent that our existing premises were inhibiting our growth. We are relocating both our Bulimba and Nerang factories into larger premises in Helensvale, on Australia’s Gold Coast providing a centralised facility. The new building will triple the size of our warehouse, pick and pack, dispatch and production facilities, provide a training suite and allow further expansion space for the future”.
Farnworth-Wood bought Issada in June 2020 and the same year launched Issada Clinical Formula, a clean cosmeceutical range which had by then been a two-year labour of love. The skincare range is Australian made in Issada’s own Gold Coast factory along with the Valor brand of artisan-made men’s grooming products, a business bought by Deb in 2019. Deb’s career has been as series of ‘firsts’. She was the first non-doctor to become a partner in a UK medical practice, and her group were the first non-pharmacists to own a UK pharmacy. She also opened England’s first drive-thru pharmacy.
