Jane Iredale Purelash Black Onyx mascara has been named the best mascara in Australian magazine, Nature & Health’s Natural Beauty Awards.
With 150 beauty products considered for the annual awards, Purelash was recognised as the most natural and beneficial mascara.
Now in its third year and led by beauty editor, Helene Larson, the Nature & Health Natural Beauty Awards seeks out products that combine glamour and “good-for-you”.
To qualify for the Nature & Health Beauty Awards, products have to comply with the following criteria to be considered ‘natural’:
No added paraben preservatives
Free from artificial fragrances
Free from synthetic colours
Free from sulphate cleansers
No product tested on animals
No ingredient tested on animals (according to the five-year rolling rule).
The Purelash formula contains algae extracts to condition and protect lashes, while cellulose fibres coat the lashes.
The full award details will be published in the Nature & Health 2009 Annual Healthy Living Guide, in January 2009.
