Lady Lash moves into CBD

Ten years after opening its first salon, Lady Lash Australia, is opening its fourth salon in Sydney’s CBD.

Announcing its move into its York Street premises this week, director Charlotte Creasey said the city salon was an exciting move for the business – and would-be clients.

“The city salon gives even more Sydney-siders the excuse to stop in for a lash-nap and a lash makeover as we’re bringing our award-winning, flawless lash extensions to the heart of the city,” she said.

Specialising in lash and brow treatments, Lady Lash opened its flagship salon in Newtown in 2010 and followed with the opening of salons in Parramatta and Gosford branches.

Known for its “award-winning lash artistry and pioneering new techniques with lashes”, Lady Lash stylists have placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in recent years at the Pro-Series International Lash Competition and the Australian & New Zealand Lash Championships.

In celebration of the salon’s expansion into the city, Charlotte has shared a lash and brow trend guide for the months ahead.

What’s IN? What’s OUT?
Lash health – taking care of lashes with aftercare products so extensions can be worn long term Too long lashes – aka ‘lash awnings’ and extreme Mega Volume (where it looks like solid black discs above the eyes!)
American volume lashes (spiky textured volumes and hybrids) – perfect for the modern glamour who’s after a non-so-neat, textured look Extreme cat eye lash looks – only a few can rock this look as it can make eyes look droopy and sad
Low maintenance lash lifts – ideal for times when you just can’t get back for infills Glitter lashes – so 2010!
Henna brows – a great compromise for people flirting with the idea of a cosmetic tattoo. Henna give a deeper, more defined stain than tint, but does eventually fade away Tadpole brows – never, ever going to be in again and there are so many options to fix them including tinting, henna, microblading and powder fill/combo brows
Powder fill/combo brows – great for definition and for a longer lasting solution, especially for those with oilier skin where microblading might not work so well Bleached eyebrows – in for 45 seconds but over now. Hopefully we never, ever see them again
