At The Winery on the 1st of May, Mission Australia and Renna Danelutti, founder of Mind To Body, revealed their latest charity project.
Mind To Body is an Australian lotion candle inventor that is best known for their uniquely scented candles. Renna Denelutti treated the guests to an exclusive launch of the new Light For Hope candle, aimed at giving back to those in need. The sales of this candle will go towards raising money for Mission Australia’s women’s support services.

The idea behind this candle was inspired by Renna’s past personal life. Speaking publicly for the first time, she revealed that the Light For Hope range was extremely close to her heart. Once a victim of an abusive relationship, creating the Light For Hope candle was her way of saying thank you to all those who helped her through.

Celebrity dancer Carmelo Pizzino joint forces with Mission Australia in support of the women’s housing scheme. Throughout his career as a ballroom dancer, Carmelo has encountered several heart-breaking stories of women and children being victims of domestic violence. He saw their life-threatening situations and their helplessness as there was nowhere to turn.
Carmelo spoke warmly about his experiences and his passion for the cause – there was not a dry eye in the room after his touching speech.
Other guests that attended this event included Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Kylie Gillies, Rob Palmer and George Houvardas.
