Light Up this Xmas

An independent test of electricity running costs has led to a retail innovation that provides peace of mind to Christmas light enthusiasts. The cost to run Christmas lights is much less than you think.

Leading Sydney Christmas lighting retailer, Christmas World announces its ‘Cost to Run’ stamp which debuts this year on the company’s range of LED Christmas light strands and illuminated decorations.

The trademarked ‘Cost to Run’ concept was developed in response to consumers’ fears about using Christmas lights during a year of rising alarm over increasing energy bills. Christmas World prints each product’s ‘Cost to Run’ on their sales tickets, so when you see the price of the item, you also see how much you can expect to pay in electricity charges to run them.

“We know that people are taking special care with their daily household energy consumption because of rising electricity costs. Our Cost to Run initiative provides the real peace of mind that your December decorations won’t cause January bill shock,” Allison Marley, Christmas World manager says.
