Perfect Potion opened its second concept store in Japan, in the international port city of Kobe. The official opening, held on October 12, 2008, included a traditional Shinto priest blessing.
The two-storey shop reflects Perfect Potion’s signature style, incorporating extensive use of recycled timber and natural building elements.
Managing Director and owner of Perfect Potion, Salvatore Battaglia, said that the first store, in Kyoto, was very different, where they first needed to gain consumer trust towards a new brand. In Kobe, he said, “the store draws seriously large crowds and the mall surrounding it is constantly busy.”
With the LOHAS (lifestyles of health and sustainability) consumer in mind, the Kobe store represents significant potential for Perfect Potion’s strategy to grow market share in Japan and also reflects their early stages of development in an important market for certified natural aromatherapy skincare products.
