Professional Beauty Solutions headquarters has been destroyed by the 16 December tornado, which swept through NSW.
Christmas is usually a time to relax and get ready for the new year, but for Professional Beauty Solutions, it was a very difficult time indeed. In the week before Christmas, on Wednesday 16 December, the Professional Beauty Solutions headquarters at Kurnell in NSW, was very badly damaged by the tornado that swept through the area.
“Our office and training facility was destroyed and the warehouse also sustained a lot of damage,” Matt Williams, Managing Director at Professional Beauty Solutions, told Professional Beauty.
The shocking images of the Professional Beauty Solutions headquarters speak for themselves. Bricks everywhere, walls down, the roof ripped off, broken windows, destroyed stock and terrible structural damage. Although emergency services moved the Professional Beauty Solutions team immediately off the site due to structural issues, Matt Williams is very relieved that no one was hurt.
The team moved immediately to temporary premises. “The day after the tornado hit, emergency services restricted access due to structural damage to our premises, so we immediately leased a temporary location,” says Matt Williams. “We really acted quickly and I cannot praise my team enoughfor how amazing they were in doing everything possible to get back to business as quickly as humanly possible.”
Fortunately some of the stock was salvaged from the wreckage. “We anticipate that nearly half of our stock was damaged, but we spent the week before Christmas sorting through undamaged stock and arranging emergency stock from our suppliers, so that we can fill orders as soon as possible,” says Williams.
Understandably this devastation did mean that some Professional Beauty Solutions stockists didn’t receive their orders pre-Christmas, but Williams says his team is working to get orders out this week.
“Unfortunately we were unable to get access to phones or stock, to take, process or fill orders in that week before Christmas, however we are all working overtime to get up and running this week,” Williams says.

“Many of our stockists have been so wonderful, offering support and they have been very patient and understanding,:” says Williams. “We will need a few more weeks of that patience while we play catch up.”
