Professional beauty brands Skeyndor and Ella Bache were among the winners in the inaugural Australian Beauty Awards.
The awards are an initiative of various Australian Consolidated Press women’s magazines, including Madison, Australian Women’s Weekly, Grazia, Cosmopolitan, Woman’s Day and Harper’s Bazaar.
Over 1,600 beauty products were submitted for testing by a panel of 16 beauty editors.
Skeyndor’s Natural Defence Throat Firming Cream was named winner in the Best Neck/Chest Cream category.
“We are absolutely thrilled with this tribute to Skeyndor and [give] our heartfelt thanks to the judging panel,” said Luca Mora, CEO of Skeyndor in Australia.
“This accolade confirms what we have known for many years: Skeyndor is a winning scientific range that delivers exceptional results time after time for both the aesthetician and client.”
Ella Bache’s Everyday 30+ protection was voted Best Facial Sunscreen.
Ella Bache’s Australian R&D developed a mineral skincare sunscreen that works as part sun protection, part mineral primer that is suitable for the sensitive skin types.
“We’re thrilled that Everyday 30+ Protection won this prestigious award. Our Australian R&D team have worked long and hard to develop this formula to deliver a groundbreaking, weightless everyday sunscreen lotion for Australian skin,” said Pippa Hallas, Ella Baché National Marketing Manager.
Other professional brands honoured in the awards include Ultraceuticals, Sodashi, Biotherm, Elemis, Skinceuticals and OPI. Dermalogica was voted Favourite Brand in Skin Treatment in the Reader’s Choice award.
