The Australasian College Broadway, in collaboration with Mauricio De La Rocha have created a stop-motion video celebrating the fusion of colour, music and technology displayed at the recent Vivid Festival.
The purpose of the video is to pay tribute to the iconic event and also inspire TAC students to push creative boundaries.
The video was filmed and edited by self-taught filmmaker/photographer Mauricio De La Rocha who was inspired to create the metamorphosis of the character whilst stimulating the vibrant colours associated with Vivid.
In the video, the use of body paint as a medium allows for a creative interpretation of the colour and vibrancy which, when combined with the concept of movement and projection, lends the focus of the video to unique and abstract pieces of visual storytelling.
