Tom Bachik, one of Hollywood’s top nail artists, has signed on as a brand ambassador for OPI.
Renowned as ‘The Mani-curist’ among A-list celebrities, Bachik has beautified the nails of stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum, Victoria Beckham and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Bachik’s striking nail designs have also featured on the pages of leading fashion magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle and Allure, and starred in campaigns for luxury brands like Chanel, Gucci, Versace and Armani.
Announcing the ambassadorship, OPI co-founder Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said the company is “incredibly excited to have Tom join the OPI team”.
“Tom’s work and clientele speak for themselves,” she said.
“He has an unbelievable roster of Tinseltown’s hottest singers and actresses − and he clearly loves colour and uses it in creative, fashionable and impactful ways that make his creations stand out.”
During his 20 year career in the nail industry, Bachik has “helped develop some of the most notable product innovations and application techniques”.
He has also won more than 300 prestigious nail contests and is Nails Magazine #1 ranked competitor.
Formerly a graphic artist and skateboarder, Bachik sold custom-painted helmets before deciding to attend “beauty school” where he discovered his talent for nails and went on to become the first nail artist to work exclusively with Chanel.
Bachick said he was excited to work with Weiss-Fischmann, “a legend in nails” and OPI, “the world leader in nail colour”.
“I’m incredibly passionate about nail design, product development and education,” he said.
“This collaboration allows me to work with some of the best formulations and tools, as well as one of the best teams in the industry, allowing my creativity and technical skills to thrive.
“Together with OPI, I will focus on building brand awareness, educating nail technicians, and inspiring the industry as a whole.”
