FAQ REZENERATE NANOFACIAL™

How invasive is the facial? Does it hurt?
Rezenerate NanoFacial ™ is non-invasive and causes no pain or discomfort, even on delicate areas such as the bridge of the nose, forehead and around the eyes and lips.

Is this the same as microneedling?
No. Rezenerate is its own modality and a cosmetic skin conditioning facial system. Microneedling is a more invasive technique that uses stainless steel needles to repeatedly pierce the skin.

Can Rezenerate be used on active blemishes?
Blemish free areas are treated first, before moving on to the areas of concern. Because the Rezenerate chip does not reach or break the dermis, there is no risk of cross-contamination. Blemished areas can be targeted with corrective serums.

Are the treatment chips reusable?
No, each chip is for single use only. The chips are hygienically laboratory sealed in a clean room to minimise any risk of infection.

How often can I get a Rezenerate NanoFacial™?
For improvements with specific indications, its recommended to get a Rezenerate NanoFacial™ every 7-10 days. For regular maintenance or to simply rejuvenate the skin, 10-14 days is the recommended time between treatments.

Does the Rezenerate System stimulate collagen and elastin?
The Rezenerate Wand™ in and of itself does not directly stimulate collagen and elastin, however, when used in conjunction with targeted products and serums, it is able to elicit just the right response without over stimulating the skin and risking an adverse reaction.

How long is the recovery period?
There is no downtime or extended recovery with this treatment. Some clients may experience a slight redness or tingling for a few hours after the facial. If required, mineral makeup may be applied after the treatment (best practice is to wait a couple of hours).  Rezenerate Cryo-Globes are used post treatment to cool and soothe before a protective SPF 30 product is applied to the skin. Exfoliation is recommended on day 7.

Will it damage my fillers or Botox™?
No, since filler and Botox are injected deep into the dermis, Rezenerate will not adversely affect your injections. Regular skin conditioning treatments with Rezenerate NanoFacial™ can, however, reduce how frequently you may need to get such injections.

Can Rezenerate NanoFacial™ be combined with other treatments?
Yes, other modalities such as microdermabrasion, LED and many more can be combined to achieve the best possible “Rez-ults” for your clients’ concerns.

What can I expect with a Rezenerate NanoFacial™?

Days 0 to 2: A reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. The skin will be tighter, firmer and plumper and for the following 48 hours, the skin will look more radiant.

Days 3 to 5: The skin may feel drier as the topmost layer of the stratum corneum experiences a gentle, delayed micro peel and a new layer of stratum corneum forms below.

Days 5 to 7: a firmer and more evenly toned and textured layer of stratum corneum comes to the surface. NOTE: many longer-term improvements develop over time and after a series of treatments, especially used in conjunction with high quality cosmeceuticals like Ultraderm.
