Waxing is no exception to that – hygiene and grooming can play a huge role in how one feels about themselves, but it can also put a strain on the environment. Used wax cannot be recycled hygienically and in some instances, wax or wax ingredients are produced in a way that is cruel to animals or even children. As one of the leading wax manufacturers we recognise our responsibility to minimise our footprint on the earth and make sure all our products are produced in a humane and sustainable way.
At Caronlab, we do our best to keep our footprint as small as possible. This year we outline the ways in which we do that. We invite you to take this trying time to look at how your salon can reduce its footprint as well.

Beauty should make everyone feel good – that’s why we put in a lot of effort to source our raw materials ethically. We help repurpose waste from the fuel industry, we are certified Cruelty Free by multiple organisations that advocate the rights of animals and we do what we can to stop child labour by only buying from suppliers that guarantee they do NOT use forced child labour.

Pine Rosin, or colophonium, is commonly used in wax-making as a natural resin base for both hard and strip waxes. It is also the third highest cause of occupational Asthma (including itchy, runny eyes and fatigue). We are working towards becoming completely Colophonium Free by 2021.

All our products are proudly manufactured in our 5-star energy efficient factory in Geelong, on the South-West coast of Australia. This allows us to have full control over the quality of the product we make – all products meet the high Australian Quality Standards. On top of that, we support our local community by providing jobs and support local industries to positively impact families and communities.
