Originally created by Sean Abel for the ‘selfie generation’, Dermaenergy is now an Australian medical skincare brand with energy at its core. Dermaenergy products combine active ingredients with ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) for prolonged stimulation, in formulations that are lightweight, free of congesting ingredients, and never over-nourishing for youthful skins. Results are not only fast, they’re enduring. Becoming a skin therapist over 20 years ago, when he was in his mid-20s, Sean wanted to use cosmeceuticals that weren’t over-nourishing. He was unable to find inexpensive, lightweight skincare that was compatible to his skin. Almost 20 years later, he was still challenged, so he created his own.

“My name is Sean Abel and I am the creator of the brand. I’ve been in the skincare world for over 24 years and have been blessed with an interesting career progression. In my time, I’ve been a beauty therapist, beauty editor and launched multiple skincare brands in Australia. I’ve been a trainer of IPL and Laser machines and was the first person to register a skin needling roller on the Therapeutic Goods Register in Australia. I’ve also developed skincare brands for more than 12 Australian doctors, and I’ve run my own import company since 2007.”

Dermaenergy Black Label (due for launch in Spring) is a step up from the White Label range. The higher concentration of active ingredients in this range will dramatically reignite a more mature skin, increasing energy and vitality and reducing visible signs of ageing.
