Internationally acclaimed celebrity hair and makeup artist, Dale Dorning, has completed another installment of his continually sold-out and much-anticipated Face Value Certificate II Makeup Course in Brisbane, with rave reviews from participants.
Dale leads an intensive week–long nationally certified and accredited course, directed to those already in or looking to enter the makeup industry, and delivers all key aspects of makeup artistry, held at Brisbane’s newest education destination, the Makeup & Glow Academy.
“The Face Value Certificate II in Makeup is for those who really want to jumpstart their career in makeup, giving it an industry twist to demonstrate the Certificate II can be achievable in a week, with assignment work completed remotely,” said Dale.
“I impart my knowledge and personal expertise on the students, placing an emphasis on intense, practical makeup experience, in an effort to encourage each student’s artistic license, and the creation of their own ‘signature’ style.”
This encouragement has yielded brilliant feedback from students who have completed the course with Dale, with many praising him on his delivery, content and techniques. “This is the third course I’ve done with Dale; I find his teaching style really easy to understand, approachable and he explains his techniques clearly, and re-covers areas if questions are asked,” said Carmela Mangini.
According to Andrea Mizzi, “Dale is an amazing teacher. He takes the ‘boring’ out of theory and teaches in a relaxed way ensuring it’s enjoyable and easy to learn.”
Renowned for his progressive, fresh and effortless approach to makeup and its artistry, and his understanding of the specific makeup needs of women worldwide, it’s little wonder that Dale’s impressive list of celebrity clientele spans the globe.
From TV royalty to pop royalty, Dale’s ‘effortless glamour’ signature style has graced some of the world’s most beautiful faces, including Crown Princess Mary, Miranda Kerr, Mel B., Delta Goodrem, Rosario Dawson, Ruby Rose, Natalie Bassingthwaite, Megan Gale, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Sophie Monk, Teresa Palmer and Jennifer Hawkins.
“From working my sell-out master classes, I have seen that the demand and need for progressive, in-depth and ‘real’ makeup education is here. My working world is not just about celebrities, it’s also about the everyday – weddings, photo and video shoots, fashion parades – which is why I am passionate about giving students the practical experience they need to begin their careers with a great foundation,” said Dale.
Dale also hosts an Intensive Hairstyling course during the evenings of the week in which the Face Value course is run.
