Australian skincare brand Skin O2 has announced further global expansion, this time into the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The news comes after the brand struck a deal with UAE-based healthcare distributor, Numex Healthcare. The deal is said to be worth in the multi-millions.
The partnership was secured via the support of former Trade Commissioner Donna Massie and Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) Middle East, as well as the Australian office and Gold Coast City Council, a press statement notes. The Skin O2 UAE and Numex Healthcare teams underwent an extensive training program, before presenting at the prestigious MEIDAM Congress led by the esteemed Dr. Khalid.
“The groundwork for this partnership began earlier this year when Skin O2 first exhibited at the Arab Health Expo in January at the Dubai World Trade Center,” Alison Atia, CEO & Co-Founder of Skin O2 tells Professional Beauty. “It was during this event that we connected with the Numex Healthcare team and received an overwhelming level of interest in the brand from various stakeholders.”
Alison highlighted the brand’s unique appeal in the UAE market: “The UAE’s harsh desert climate is strikingly similar to Australia’s, which is why our high-quality, Australian-made products are so effective. Designed to protect and regenerate the skin from the damaging effects of the sun, our range has been exceptionally well-received by local dermatologists and is in high demand among patients.”
It’s not the first time Skin O2 will be made available outside of Australia, “however, this is a major milestone as it marks our official entry into the UAE market through a robust local partnership, enabling deeper penetration into the region’s premium skincare sector,” Alison added.
